Dave Grohl dice que Krist Novoselic ha llevado a cabo el alma de Nirvana

El guitarrista y cantante de Foo Fighters reconoce que su compañero de la banda anterior continúa llevando el "alma" de Nirvana - que se separó tras el suicidio del líder Kurt Cobain el 8 de abril de 1994 -, mientras que andar con el bajista le despierta fuertes recuerdos emocionales.

Dave habló con la revista musical NME acerca de Krist, diciendo que "no ha cambiado ni un poco, así que al escucharlo hablar o contar historias o al oírlo hablar de Nirvana ... eso realmente me trae de nuevo la sensación de estar en la banda porque es parte de su alma".

Los 42 años de edad también señalan que la dinámica de la legendaria banda grunge fue desarrollada a través del equilibrio entre la personalidad y el empuje de Krist y Kurt.

Dave dijo que "tienes a Krist, que estaba totalmente motivado por la política, y luego tienes a Kurt, que era un artista brillante, era raro el conflicto o la dicotomía - o lo que sea que fuese".

El creador del éxito "Learn To Fly" agregó que "esas dos cosas en realidad no deberían coexistir, por lo que siempre que Krist Novoselic dice algo, por lo general me es único y auténtico".

Dave Grohl has stated that Krist Novoselic makes him feel like he is a member of rock legends Nirvana once again.

The Foo Fighters guitarist and singer reckons his former bandmate continues to carry the “soul” of Nirvana – who broke up following the suicide of frontman Kurt Cobain on April 8, 1994 – while hanging around with the bass player awakens strong emotional memories.

Dave spoke to music magazine NME about Krist, saying that “he hasn’t changed a bit, so to hear him speak or to hear him tell stories or to hear him talk about Nirvana…it really brings back the feeling of being in the band because it’s just part of his soul”.

The 42-year-old also stated that the legendary grunge band’s dynamic was developed through the fine balance between the personality and drive of Krist and Kurt.

Dave said that “you’ve got Krist, who was totally politically motivated, and then you’ve got Kurt, who was just such a brilliant artist, that it was that weird conflict or dichotomy – or whatever it is”.

The Learn To Fly hitmaker added that “those two things shouldn’t really co-exist in a way, so, whenever something’s released, usually to me it’s only authentic if it comes from Krist Novoselic”.
