Los fans de Nirvana quieren una gira de reunión de la banda

Han pasado casi 18 años desde la muerte del cantante y guitarrista Kurt Cobain la cual puso fin a la historia de Nirvana. Pero ahora, han sido los grupos de  fans en Facebook los que piden a los miembros sobrevivientes, Krist Novoselic y Dave Groh,l para reproducir un espectáculo único o una gira a gran escala en la memoria de su cantante y guitarrista final.

Si bien la reunión aún no ha sido confirmada oficialmente, los reclamos de la página de Facebook allí han sido los rumores de una reunión de Nirvana con un nuevo cantante y guitarrista ha ido flotando durante un tiempo, y muestra un NCA – una agencia rusa de conciertos – reserva reunión al menos dos de ellos en Rusia, en Moscú y uno en San Petersburgo. Si la reunión ocurre, NCA pide a los seguidores  votar por la reunión de Nirvana pulsando "1" y si uno o ambos espectáculos obtenien 10.000 votos, podría considerarse la reserva.

Los fans están sugiriendo a Wes Scantlin (Puddle Of Mudd), Brett Scallions (Fuel) y Ryan McCombs (Soil and Drowning Pooll) como posibles reemplazos de Cobain, así como músicos que tienen "una voz que suena como Kurt o alguien que es zurdo como él". Quieren una reunión de Nirvana para que puedan "salvar nuevamente al Grunge" y se tenga en cuenta que son la única banda del Big 4 (con Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam y Soundgarden) que no está en activo y que merecen al hacerlo con "alguien que puede ser tan 

bueno como Kurt Cobain".

No solo los fans están sugeriendo una futura reunión, sino que también están sugiriendo a la banda  grabar un nuevo álbum de estudio y la muestra de un DVD en vivo para el cine. Nirvana lanzó su último álbum "In Utero" en septiembre de 1993, casi siete meses antes de de que Cobain se suicidase en su casa de Seattle. El seguimiento de su álbum de 1991 multiplatino "Nevermind" entró en el Billboard 200 en el número uno y generó los singles "Heart-Shaped Box" y "All Apologies". Ha sido certificado con cinco discos de platino por la Recording Industry Association of America y ha vendido más de cuatro millones de copias en los Estados Unidos solamente.

Después de la muerte de Cobain, ha habido una serie de lanzamientos póstumos de la banda, y uno de ellos una vez dio lugar aun conflicto legal entre la viuda de Cobain, Courtney Love y los miembros supervivientes de la banda sobre el lanzamiento de la canción "You Know Your're Rigth", un posible seguimiento para "In Utero" que apareció en su disco recopilatorio

It's been almost 18 years since the death of singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain effectively put Nirvana to an end. But now, fans on Facebook have been banding together to ask its surviving members Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl to play either a one-off show or a full-scale tour in memory of their late singer/guitarist.

While the reunion has not yet been officially confirmed, the Facebook page claims that there have been rumors of a Nirvana reunion with a new singer/guitarist have been floating around for a while, and that a NCA – a Russian concert agency – booking at least two reunion shows for them in Russia, one in Moscow and one in St. Petersburg. In order to make the reunion happen, NCA asks fans to vote for the Nirvana reunion shows by clicking "+1" and if either or both shows get 10,000 votes, they might consider booking them.

The fans are suggesting Wes Scantlin (Puddle Of Mudd), Brett Scallions (Fuel) and Ryan McCombs (Soil and Drowning Pool) as possible replacements for Cobain as well as musicians who has "a singing voice that sounds like Kurt or someone who plays left handed like him". They want a Nirvana reunion so they can "save grunge once again" and note that they are the only band of the Big 4 (featuring Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden) not active and that they deserve to do it with "someone who can be as good as Kurt Cobain".

Not only are the fans suggesting a reunion shows, but they are also suggesting the band to record a brand new studio album and film the shows on a live DVD. Nirvana released their last album "In Utero" in September 1993, just about seven months before Cobain killed himself in his Seattle home. The follow-up to their 1991 multi-platinum record "Nevermind" entered the Billboard 200 chart at number one and spawned the singles "Heart-Shaped Box" and "All Apologies". The has been certified five times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, and has sold over four million copies in the United States alone.

After Cobain's death, a number of posthumous releases have been issued from the band, which once resulted in a legal conflict between Cobain's widow, Courtney Love, and the surviving members of the band over the release of the song "You Know You're Right", which he wrote for a possible follow-up to "In Utero" and would appear on their 2002 self-titled greatest hits compilation.

El nuevo disco de Soundgarden puede que tenga 14 canciones

Banana 101.5  informa de que el nuevo álbum de Soundgarden tiene 14 canciones. Ellos no citan una fuente ni nada, así que hay que tomarlo con precaución. Se supone que el nuevo disco tendrá entre 13 y 15 canciones

Banana 101.5 advises that Soundgarden album has 14 tracks. They did not cite a source or anything, so it must be taken with caution. It is assumed that the new album will have between 13 and 15 songs

As far as the sound of their sixth album — expect it to sound different, which is technically the same with Soundgarden. They’re a band whose sound changed drastically from album to album, but always contained unique combination of Cornell’s wide vocal range, Thayil’s unpredictable sonic assault, the odd time signatures hammered out by Matt Cameron, with Ben Shepherd somehow tying it all together. Thayil has said the record has some ‘Down on the Upside’-esque moments and told Stereogum of the 14 track collection

El último número de la revista Mojo tiene una nueva entrevista con Mark Lanegan donde habla de su nuevo disco "Blue's Funeral". Mark mencionó en la entrevista que su colección de cintas de ideas musicales que tiene y que suele utilizar en un álbum fue borrada, así que tenía que empezar de cero. El escritor de Mojo, Keith Cameron, también dio al nuevo álbum una crítica muy positiva, dándole 5 estrellas. Los Estados de la review, "Vuelve el extraño. Después de siete largos años cantando canciones de otras personas, Mark Lanegan demuestra que mantiene las cosas buenas para sí mismo." Aquí hay algunas citas de la entrevista:
