En un día como hoy pero de 1991, el álbum homónimo de Temple of the Dog es lanzado en A&M Records. El álbum está dedicado a Andrew Wood, con Chris Cornell escribiendo las dos primeras canciones poco después de la muerte de Wood. Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready y Eddie Vedder de Pearl Jam y Matt Cameron de Soundgarden acompañan a Cornell en el álbum.

En un día como hoy pero de 2010 Soundgarden toca su primer concierto de reunión, un concierto secreto con la banda como “NudeDragons” (anagrama de Soundgarden) en el Showbox en Seattle.

In a day like today but in 1991 the self-titled album from Temple Of The Dog is released on A&M Records. The album is dedicated to Andrew Wood, with Chris Cornell writing the first two songs soon after Wood’s passing. Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, and Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam and Matt Cameron of Soundgarden accompany Cornell on the album.

In a day like today but in 2010, Soundgarden plays its first reunion show, a secret show with the band billed as “NudeDragons” (an anagram of Soundgarden) at the Showbox in Seattle.

Despues de la muerte de Andrew Wood y la disolucion de Mother Love Bone, Stone Gossard y Jeff Ament quisieron continuar con su carrera de músicos reclutando a Mike McCready , primero ensayaron en el atico de la casa de Stone Gossard. Aun sin baterista ellos tocaban canciones muy buenas y no fue hasta tiempo después que el baterista Matt Cameron de Soundgarden, ofreció su ayuda para que pudieran grabar unas maquetas. Chris Cornell quien fue compañero del fallecido Andy Wood, compuso dos temas dedicados a este, al principio el no queria grabar estos temas ya que los queria grabar por otro lado. Gossard se hizo de la cinta y la escucho y quedo impresionado, pronto el y Jeff hablaron con Cornell para grabar los temas con la participaron de Matt cameron y Mike McCready y hacer un homenaje en honor al fallecido Andrew Wood a este proyecto se le llamo Temple of the Dog.

Temple Of The Dog

Temple of the Dog fue una banda de rock formada en Seattle, Washington en 1990. Fue concebido por el vocalista de Soundgarden, Chris Cornell como tributo a su amigo fallecido, Andrew Wood, vocalista deMalfunkshun y Mother Love Bone. La alineación constaba del guitarrista Stone Gossard, el bajista Jeff Ament (ambos ex-miembros de Mother Love Bone), Mike McCready como guitarrista líder, el batería Matt Cameron y Eddie Vedder como segundo vocalista.¹

La banda lanzó su único álbum, el homónimo Temple of the Dog en abril de 1991 a través de A&M Records. A pesar de recibir buenas reseñas de los críticos en el momento de su lanzamiento, el álbum no fue reconocido totalmente por el público en general hasta 1992, cuando Vedder, Ament, Gossard y McCready tuvieron éxito comercial con su banda Pearl Jam.
