En un día como hoy pero de 1988 Mudhoney hace su primera presentación ante el público, abriendo para Das Damen y Blood Circus en el Vogue (Seattle)

En un día día como hoy pero de 2002, Layne Staley, cantante de la tremendamente popular e influyente banda Alice in Chains, es encontrado muerto en su apartamento en Seattle. Se fue con 34 años.  Un memorial se celebró en el Center International Fountain al día siguiente.

In a day like today but in 2002, Layne Staley, singer of the wildly popular and influential supergroup Alice in Chains, is found dead in his Seattle apartment. He was 34. A memorial is held at the Seattle Center International Fountain the next day.
