Me metí a Music Millenium justo a las 6 y tenían una "fiesta" en la segunda sala de la tienda (lejos de la parte delantera). Cuando pregunté si es aquí donde se escuchaban las canciones, el empleado dijo sí y me preparé.Estaba allí solo al principio.  Las personas comenzaron a deambular, unas 10 personas solicitaron el álbum y lo recibieron esa noche firmado. Me puse cerca  de la parte delantera y conversé con el empleado sobre el LP. Cuando se iba haciendo de noche, pensé que no habría manera de ganar la prueba, pero como estaba allí ahí y VI que sólo había unas 20 personas en la rifa magnético, pensé que tendría una mejor oportunidad. Algunas personas parecía que sabían muy bien lo que hacían, así que perdí la esperanza de ganar y me fui a otra cosa.
No me defraudó. Sí, son unos temas con arreglos diferentes que como fans no utilizaríamos, pero sigue siendo un disco "Lanegan". La mayor parte del disco tiene lo que esperaba de él. "Deep black vanishing train" suena tan bien... También hay un par de temas bastante buenos.
Tan pronto como terminó, se sacó un nombre en el cuadro y me alegré al escuchar mi nombre

I got to Music Millennium right at 6 and they held the “party” in the 2nd room of the store (away from the busier front). When I asked if this is where its at, the clerk said yea and turned it on. I was the only one there at the beginning. People started wandering in and about 10 people pre-ordered the album and they received the signed 7″ on the spot tonight. I hung out near the front and chatted with the clerk as the LP played. When I was going tonight, I thought no way would I win the test pressing, but as I got there and saw there were only about 20 people filling out the raffle tix, i thought I had a better chance at it. A few people seemed to stuff the raffle box so I gave up hope of winning and just focused on the new record.
It won’t disappoint. Yes, they are a few tracks with different arrangements that as fans we might not be used to, but its still a “Lanegan” album. Most of it has what you would expect from him. Deep black vanishing train sounds so great. There are a couple other burners just like it too.
As soon as it ended, they pulled a name from the box and I was glad to hear my name called.
