Billy Corgan says Smashing Pumpkins Record Club isn’t about making money

Aquí os dejo una extracto de la entrevista que tuvo Billy Corgan con Crestfallen en la que habla del Smashing Pumpkins Record Club:

“No estoy en el negocio de la explotación musical y no hay nada más que me enfade que vengan algunas personas diciendo: ‘él sólo se preocupa de ganar dinero’, confía en mí, si quiero ganar dinero no está en este programa…Un concierto de los Smashing Pumpkins da diez veces más de dinero de lo que me va a dar cualquiera de estas cosas, cien veces más. Detesto hacerlo con dinero,  pero todo el mundo tiene que entender que en algún momento tiene que ser haber un intercambio de energía”.

Here is an excerpt from Crestfallen‘s new interview with Billy Corgan that will fully be published on Tuesday about the Smashing Pumpkins Record Club:

“I’m not in the exploitation business, and nothing erks me more [than] people saying ‘he only cares about making money’, trust me if I want to make money it’s not in the reissue program…One Smashing Pumpkins’ concert makes ten times more than I’m going make on any of this stuff, hundred times more. I loathe to make it a money equation but everybody has to understand that at some point it has to be about energy exchange.”
