Heavy Blanket, proyecto de blues psicodélico instrumental liderado por J Mascis, publicará un mini elepé de debut el 7 8 de mayo vía Outer Battery Records. No es una nueva banda, sino que según la web oficial del cantante, guitarrista y líder de Dinosaur Jr. se remonta a 1984, cuando éste militaba en Deep Wound, una de las bandas fundamentales en la aparición del hardcore y necesitaba buscar nuevas experiencias musicales.
A su lado estaban dos antiguos compañeros de colegio, Johnny Pancake y Pete Cougar, con los cuales grabó solamente una casette con seis temas abrasadores a la que han acudido después de muchísimos años sin saber uno de los otros y tras una azarosa historia personal que J Mascis nos cuenta en su web,
El álbum se publicará en CD, vinilo del que habrá una edición limitada a doscientas copias en color púrpura, y supone la vuelta de un trío que se volvió a juntar el pasado diciembre. La canción de adelanto, Dr Martens Blues, solo nos dejan escuchar poco más de medio minuto, nos ha dado muy buenas vibraciones sobre esta aventura.
El tracklist del debut homónimo de Heavy Blanket será el siguiente:

Heavy Blanket, instrumental psychedelic blues led by J Mascis, draft issued a mini debut LP the 7 May 8 via Outer Battery Records. It is not a new band, but that according to the official website of the singer, guitarist and leader of Dinosaur Jr. goes back to 1984, when this member in Deep Wound, one of the key bands in the emergence of hardcore and needed to look for new musical experiences.
At his side were two former colleagues from College, Johnny Pancake and Pete Cougar, with whom he recorded only a cassette with six burning issues that have come after many years without knowing one another and after a haphazard history personal J Mascis tells us on his website,
The album will be issued on CD, vinyl which there will be an Edition limited to 200 copies in purple, and the return of a trio returned to join last December. The song of advancement, Dr Martens Blues, only let us listen to little more than half a minute, he has given us very good vibrations on this adventure.
