Pocas semanas después de su triunfo en los grammys, en la víspera de su ya agotada gira asiática, Foo Fighters dicen tener que cancelar su gira después de que un médico advirtió que la voz de Dave Grohl necesita descanso.
“Lamentamos profundamente tener que cancelar,” ha publicado la banda en el sitio Web del promotor japonés Smash. “No fue una decisión fácil de ninguna manera, pero después de considerar con cuidado médico, nos pareció que no teníamos ninguna opción.
“Odiamos decepcionar a nuestros seguidores en Japón y esperamos que todos lo entenderán y que nos veremos todos en un futuro no muy lejano”.

Just weeks following their Grammy triumph and on the eve of their mostly sold-out Asian tour, the Foo Fighters say they have to cancel their tour after a doctor warned that Dave Grohl’s voice needs rest.
“We deeply regret having to cancel,” the band posted on Japanese promoter Smash’s website. “It wasn’t an easy decision by any stretch but after carefully considering medical advice, we felt we had no choice.
“We hate to disappoint our fans in Japan and hope you’ll all understand and that we’ll see you all in the not too distant future.”

February 29th, 2012 – The Afghan Whigs are pleased to announce six new shows have been added to their upcoming touring plans for 2012.
Four headline shows, three in Europe and one in Israel have been added including: Luxembourg on June 11th at Den Atelier, June 12th in Amsterdam at the Paradiso, June 13th in Brussels at Cirque Royale and June 15th in Tel Aviv at the Barby. Tickets for all shows go on sale this week.
The Afghan Whigs are also pleased to confirm they will be performing at this year’s Haldern Pop Festival on August 11th in Germany and at the Pinkpop Festival on May 26th in the Netherlands.

El vocalista de los Smashing Pumpkins Billy Corgan utilizará South By Southwest la próxima semana como un trampolín para anunciar el más reciente álbum, Oceanía, que promete ser “una experiencia en línea completa”.
“Nuestro objetivo es convertir el ‘social’ en una nueva forma de experimentar un álbum,” Corgan dijo a Mashable. “Por el paso, es que vamos a crear una experiencia con Oceanía en línea y offline, que trasciende el single y la mentalidad única en todas sus formas”.
Corgan planea exponer su visión sobre el álbum (además de la fecha de lanzamiento) durante una sesión moderada por el presidente de Altimeter Group, Brian Solis.

Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan will use next week’s South By Southwest as a springboard to announce the band’s latest album, Oceania, which promises to be a “full online experience.”
“Our aim is to turn the ‘social’ into a new way to experience an album,” Corgan told Mashable. “By taking the medium one step further we will create an experience with Oceania online and off-line that transcends the single and the single mentality in all ways.”
Corgan plans to outline his vision of the album (plus the release date) during a session moderated by Altimeter Group Principal Brian Solis.
Corgan says that the Pumpkins plan to “[bring] back the album experience through fan engagement in a whole new way with Oceania.” He added that the band is, ‘Working closely with Superfans as gatekeepers to help interaction on a fan-to fan level by promoting their Smashing Pumpkins related blogs and enlisting their help in maintaining a few official Smashing Pumpkins social media sites.”

GrungeReport.net ha publicado algunos artículos recientemente en una nueva foto de Layne Staley, que ha sido confirmada de por lo menos proveniente del septiembre de 1998 (cuando la camiseta que Layne lleva en ella salió con un juego). El chico que la envió por correo electrónico me ha revelado la historia sobre la foto de 2001, Scott Farro, ser un mentiroso. Su correo electrónico es scott.farro@yahoo.com.
Parece ser que lo más probable es que la foto puede ser de Halloween de 1998, alguien afirmó que hablaban con el tío Jimmy en la foto y dijo que es cuando fue tomada. Se estableció contacto con Jimmy, pero no obtuve respuesta. La historia es que Layne estuvo entre bastidores en el concierto individual de Jerry Cantrell en 1998 en Halloween en Seattle. Obviamente no hay que tomar esto como un hecho, es sólo el echo de que 100% de que la foto fuese tomada entre 1998 y 2002

GrungeReport.net has posted some articles recently on a new Layne Staley photo that is confirmed to be from at least September 1998 at the earliest (when the shirt Layne is wearing in it was released with a video game). The guy who e-mailed me the story about the photo being from 2001, Scott Farro, has been revealed to be a liar. His e-mail is scott.farro@yahoo.com.
It’s looking more likely that the photo may be from Halloween 1998, somebody claimed they talked to the guy Jimmy in the photo and he said that’s when it was taken. I contacted Jimmy myself but got no response. The story is that Layne was backstage at Jerry Cantrell’s solo show on Halloween 1998 in Seattle. Obviously don’t take this as fact, the only 100% fact about the picture we know is it was taken sometime between 1998-2002 because of the shirt.
